Statistical highlights on the fifth and final day of the second cricket Test between India and Australia at Mohali on Tuesday.

# India posted their 12th victory in 38 Tests against Australia in India. (Lost 12, Drawn 13, Tied 1). Overall, India have won 17 out of 74 against Australia (Lost 34, Drawn 22 and Tied 1).

# India's convincing win by 320 runs is their biggest by runs margin in Tests, outstripping their 280-run win over South Africa at Kanpur in 1996-97. Against Australia, their previous best win by runs margin was - 222 runs at Melbourne in 1977-78.

# Under Mahendra Singh Dhoni's captaincy, India have won both their games - by 8 wickets against South Africa at Kanpur in April 2008 and by 320 runs against Australia at Mohali in October 2008 - a feat previously achieved by Tendulkar and Ganguly.

# Dhoni got his first Man of the Match award.

# Amit Mishra, with his figures of 7 for 106 (5/71 + 2/35), is the seventh Indian bowler to bag seven wickets on debut in a Test match, joining Narendra Hirwani (16), Dilip Doshi (8), Shiv Lal Yadav, Munaf Patel, Abid Ali and V V Kumar.

# Mitchell Johnson's 26 is his highest score in India. Overall, this is his fourth best score - his top three being 50 not out against India at Perth; 29 not out against West Indies at North Sound and 28 against India at Sydney - all in 2008.

# Michael Clarke's fifth Test fifty against India is his ninth in Test cricket.

# Clarke's brilliant innings of 69 off 152 balls is his fourth best against India in India - his top three knocks being 151 on Test debut at Bangalore and 91 and 73 at Nagpur, all in 2004.

# Clarke and Johnson were associated in a ninth wicket stand of 50 runs - the highest ever partnership by a pair against India at Mohali, bettering the 42 between Andrew Flintoff and Steve Harmison for England in 2005-06. The highest ninth wicket stand at this venue is 89 between Sourav Ganguly and Abhey Kuruvilla for India against Sri Lanka in 1997-98.
