Ross Taylor struck his third one-day century on Tuesday to set New Zealand up for a series-winning 79-run victory in the third limited overs international against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh, chasing 250 runs to win, struggled to 170 for eight from their 50 overs.

Taylor scored 103 from 119 balls, hitting four towering sixes and five boundaries. He was finally out caught by wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim skying an attempted pull shot from Mushrafe Mortaza.

Number three Jamie How scored 73, his seventh one-day half-century, after openers Jesse Ryder (3) and Brendon McCullum (6) were dismissed in the first six overs. He hit 10 boundaries from 82 balls.

Middle-order batsman Naeem Islam top-scored with an unbeaten 46 for the home side from 106 balls with five fours.

New Zealand beat Bangladesh by 75 runs in the second match on Saturday to level the three-game series. Bangladesh won the opening match by seven wickets in Dhaka.
