120 - Number of extras in the match - second highest in a Test on Indian soil. Interestingly the highest number of extras was also conceded at Bangalore - 168 in 2007-08.

49 - Tendulkar's second highest score against Australia in the fourth innings of a Test. His best remains 52 at Melbourne in 1999-00.

8 - Cameron White became the eighth bowler to get Sachin Tendulkar as his first wicket. Others to do so are - Hansie Cronje, Ujesh Ranchod, Ruwan Kalpage, Mark Ealham, Neil Johnson, Jacob Oram and Monty Panesar.

3 - Last three consecutive innings in which Kumble has failed to pick up a wicket - a first in his distinguished career. Before this Test, Kumble had failed to take any wicket in the second innings of Colombo (PSS) Test against Sri Lanka.
