Hayden wins ODI honour

Opening batsman Matthew Hayden won the award for one-day player of the year after being recognised as the International Cricket Council's one-day player for 2007.
The powerful lefthander had struggled to hold his place in the team the previous season but fought his way back to play a leading role at the World Cup, smashing 659 runs at 73.22 despite playing the tournament with a fractured toe.
