It comes as no surprise that India's batting mainstay Sachin Tendulkar has dropped to his lowest ranking since 1992 in the International Cricket Council's Test rankings after a disappointing series against Sri Lanka.

Tendulkar struggled in the three-Test series, scoring just 95 runs, at an average of 15.83. He scored only six and 14 in the third and final Test, which Sri Lanka won by eight wickets in Colombo on Monday to clinch the series 2-1.

This was one of Tendulkar's worst performances in a Test series after which he has dropped the 23rd in the latest ICC Test rankings for batsmen.
