As soon as the playing eleven of the Mumbai side was announced, disappointment was writ large on several fans' faces, some of whom could be seen wearing T-shirts with 'Tendulkar' written at the back.
Fans were hoping that Sachin Tendulkar, who turned 35 on Thursday, would play his first IPL game in Mohali. The master batsman is recuperating from a groin injury.

Their only consolation was that he was present at the ground with his team, with Harbhajan Singh leading the side in his absence.
