The International Cricket Council confirmed that its anti-corruption officer interviewed Pakistani cricketers Younis Khan, Danish Kaneria and Umar Gul in Lahore to gain "specific information".
It, however, did not say whether the officer also quizzed banned fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar.
The ICC, in a statement on Wednesday, said its officer spoke to the three players on April 5 and 6 to seek specific information on some issue.
"The interviews took place in Lahore on 5 and 6th April. The purpose of these interviews was to seek specific information and the ACSU has confirmed that this information was provided by the players," the statement said.
The ICC also clarified the interviews were not in relation to any alleged breach of the ICC Code of Conduct.
It said as a matter of policy the ICC does not comment on the specific details of the ACSUs investigations.
It is learnt that ICC Anti-Corruption and Security Unit Officer Alan Peacock had visited Lahore to talk to Shoaib after the pacer claimed in a television interview that he was made offers to underperform in matches.
The enigmatic bowler made the comments after he was banned for five years by the PCB for several counts of indiscipline.
