Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and big hitter Yuvraj Singh will face fitness tests ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup semi-final against Australia in Durban on Saturday.

Yuvraj, who hit England's Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over in Durban on Wednesday, missed Thursday's match against South Africa with an elbow strain.

Dhoni emerged from Thursday's game with a painful back.

Indian team manager Lalchand Rajput told a news conference in Durban on Friday that both players' fitness would be assessed on Saturday before the scheduled 1600 GMT start of play.

Australian all-rounder Shane Watson was earlier ruled out of the rest of the tournament with a hamstring injury.

Both teams were bullish going into Saturday's match.

"We're gelling together well, and we're pretty confident," India pace bowler Irfan Pathan told a news conference in Durban on Friday.

"We don't fear anybody, we are here to play good cricket."

India have lost just once in five matches at the tournament, while Australia have gone down twice including in a shock defeat by Zimbabwe in their first match.

Australia coach Tim Nielsen said his charges are geared up for Saturday's match.

"We feel as though we're getting better every day," Nielsen told a news conference in Durban on Friday.

"We've been able to find our way through the tournament to this stage, and we'll hit the semi in as good a shape as we can be."

New Zealand play Pakistan in the other semi-final in Cape Town on Saturday.
