It was Ian Bell, who came to England's resuce, after they lost both the openers for a duck.
RP Singh rocked England, claiming the wickets of Matt Prior and Luke Wright, in the second over of the innings.
However, Bell played a breezy knock of 36, including six boundaries, adding 63 runs for the third wicket with Kevin Pietersen to rally England.
