Australia elect to bat in third ODI

Australia captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat in the third One-Day International against India in Hyderabad on Friday.

Back after missing the first two ODIs because of injury, Ponting replaces the in-form Brad Haddin, who scored half-centuries in the first two matches.

India made one change, bringing in Rohit Sharma for Ramesh Powar.

Sourav Ganguly, who was expected to play after sitting out of the second ODI because of a hamstring injury, was ruled unfit.

Teams:

India: Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Robin Uthappa, Yuvraj Singh,  Rahul Dravid,  M S Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Rohit Sharma, S Sreesanth.

Australia: Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden, Brad Hodge, Michael Clarke,  Ricky Ponting, Andrew Symonds, Brad Hogg, Stuart Clark, James Hopes, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson.
