India crushed Pakistan by six wickets in the fourth one-day international in Gwalior on Thursday to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series with a game to spare.

Chasing a competitive 256 for victory, the Indians overhauled the target comfortably with 21 balls to spare, in a floodlit encounter that saw Sachin Tendulkar (97) miss a century for the sixth time this year.

Following are the statistical highlights:

# India won a bilateral series against Pakistan in India after 24 years.

# For the first time, India have won three games against Pakistan in a bilateral series in India.

# India registered their seventh win in nine matches at Gwalior. This was also their third consecutive victory at this venue. In their previous two games, India had defeated New Zealand by 14 runs in November 1999 and Australia by 37 runs in October 2003.

# Pakistan lost their first game in two matches at Gwalior.

# For the sixth time, Pakistan's opening pair has failed to open an account against India in ODIs - once each at Toronto in September 1998; Karachi in November 1989; Mohali in April 1999; Rawalpindi in February 2006, Lahore in February 2006 and Gwalior in November 2007.

# Salman Butt registered his third duck against India in ODIs -- his sixth overall.  On all the three occasions against India, he has registered second ball ducks.

# Zaheer Khan completed his 200 wickets in 144 ODIs, his victim being Pakistan's captain, Shoaib Malik.

# Zaheer is now the fifth Indian bowler to have bagged 200 wickets or more in one-day internationals, joining Anil Kumble (337), Javagal Srinath (315), Ajit Agarkar (288) and Kapil Dev (253).

# Zaheer's feat of claiming 200 wickets in 144 ODIs is the second fastest by an Indian bowler, next only to Ajit Agarkar, who had accomplished the feat in 133 ODIs. Anil Kumble and Javagal Srinath share the third spot, achieving the distinction in 147 ODIs each.

# Zaheer (2 for 40) produced his best performance in his last 22 ODIs.

# Younis Khan's 68 off 89 balls is his 29th half-century.

# With Shahid Afridi's dismissal, Sourav Ganguly completed his 100 wickets and completed the triple of 10,000 runs, 100 wickets and 100 catches in ODIs.

# Ganguly is only the third all-rounder in the history of one-dayers to have completed the treble, joining India's Sachin Tendulkar and Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya.

# Yousuf missed his 14th century by just a single run. This was his fifth score in the 90s.

# In the history of ODIs, Yousuf is the eighth batsman to remain unbeaten on 99 and the third to do so against India, joining New Zealand's Bruce Edgar at Auckland (1981) and West Indian Ramnaresh Sarwan at Ahmedabad (2002).

# Sourav Ganguly (5) has made 284 runs in 13 innings against Pakistan in India at an average of 21.84, with just one half-century, 57 off 90 balls at Mohali in April 1999.

# Sourav had last posted a fifty-plus against Pakistan almost eight years ago -- 141 at Adelaide in January 2000. He is now without a half-century in his last 22 innings against Pakistan.

# Sachin Tendulkar, who had made his Test debut on November 15, 1989 against Pakistan at Karachi, celebrated 18 years of international cricket with an outstanding innings of 97 off 102 balls.

# Tendulkar extended his records for most half-centuries (87) and most nineties (16) in ODIs.

# Tendulkar (229 at an average of 57.25) became the first Indian to amass 200 runs in the ongoing five-match series.

# Yuvraj Singh became the second Indian to make 200 runs in the series with a tally of 222 runs at an average of 74.00.

# Yuvraj, who posted his 33rd half-century in ODIs, also became the fifth Indian batsman to aggregate 1000 runs or more against Pakistan. His tally now stands at 1005 joining Sachin Tendulkar (2351), Rahul Dravid (1823), Mohammad Azharuddin (1657) and Sourav Ganguly (1652).

# Mahendra Singh Dhoni became the first batsman to register a six as a winning hit five times in ODIs.

# Tendulkar got his 56th Man of the Match award.
