India vs England, 2nd Test, Day 2
July 28, 2007
Dinesh Karthik and Wasim Jaffer gave India a decent start to compliment the efforts of their bowlers.
The Indian openers were extremely cautious on a pitch offering considerable seam and swing movement.
When Panesar came on to bowl, Jaffer danced down the wicket and lifted him over mid-off for a boundary. In the same over, Karthik (in the picture) brought up his fifth Test half century with a glorious cover drive.
It was also his second against England and it took him 128 minutes. He faced 95 balls and hit 8 fours.
