Windies win toss and elect to field

West Indies captain Brian Lara won the toss and elected to field in the final one-dayer against India on Wednesday.

The visitors recalled in-form Shivnarine Chanderpaul to bolster the batting in their bid to square a series they trail 2-1.

The left-handed opener was rested for the previous match which the visitors won by three wickets in Chennai.

All-rounder Dwayne Bravo, however, will sit out of the match with a sore left shoulder while fast bowler Jerome Taylor has been rested.

Hosts India recalled opener Sourav Ganguly while all-rounder Irfan Pathan will play in his first international match since being sent home midway through the South Africa tour last month to rediscover his form in domestic cricket.
