Marlon Samuels struck 98 as the visitors reached a challenging target of 269 under lights with 6.2 overs to spare to reduce their deficit to 2-1 in the four-match series.
The 26-year-old Samuels hit 12 fours and a six in his 95-ball knock, put on 127 at almost a run-a-ball for the fourth wicket with Lara as West Indies recovered in style from 92 for three.
He was caught behind by Dinesh Karthik off medium pacer Ajit Agarkar with the score on 219.
