Anil Kumble, leading India for the first time on home ground, the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore, won the toss and chose to bat in the third and final Test against Pakistan on Saturday.

India, who lead the series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Delhi by six wickets, made four changes to the team that played the drawn second Test in Kolkata after injury ruled out batsman Sachin Tendulkar, wicketkeeper Mahendra Dhoni and pace bowlers Zaheer Khan and Munaf Patel.

Batsmen Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh and bowlers Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma were named in the side.

Pakistan, who staged a spectacular fightback to draw the second Test, made one change, left-arm pacer Sohail Tanvir making way for all-rounder Yasir Arafat, who is making his debut.

Younis Khan will again stand in for injured captain Shoaib Malik while fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami have recovered from a chest infection that hampered them during the previous game.

India: Anil Kumble (captain), Wasim Jaffer, Gautam Gambhir, Dinesh Karthik, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly, Vangipurappu Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma.
