Host India is out of the Champions Trophy, having lost to Australia in the do-or-die Group A round robin match at Mohali Sunday.
Captain Rahul Dravid said after the defeat that he had full faith in the squad. "It is just a question of holding our nerve," he told the media after the defeat.
Is that all there is to it? Or is there more? Is it about nerve, or ability? Is the team stocked with the right personnel, or are there people on the outside looking in, who could add value to the squad? Has the team forgotten the basics -- line and length bowling, taking singles, and such? Or is it a case, as coach Greg Chappell supposedly indicated recently, of not caring enough?
