Yuvraj Singh's participation in the crucial do-or-die match against Australia looks doubtful after he was injured during net practice in Mohali on Saturday.

The Indian all-rounder hurt his left knee after slipping during a game of kho-kho that the team played at the start of the net session.

He lay on the ground for several minutes writhing with pain as physio John Gloster attended to him.

He then limped all the way to the dressing room and looked in severe pain as he tried unsuccessfully to keep his left foot on the ground.

The injury has given rise to doubts about his participation in tomorrow's match, which is a virtual quarter-final.

India captain Rahul Dravid was hopeful of him being fit.

"Yuvraj has undergone some tests to scan the damage," he said. "A decision on his inclusion in the team for tomorrow's match will only be taken after we know the nature of the injury," he added.

India's batting failed against the West Indies and the loss of Yuvraj would further hurt their chances against the world champions.
