The South African all-rounder's maiden century helped his team rally after the early loss of wickets to post a healthy 274 for 7 in their 50 overs.
Kemp, was unbeaten on 100, shared an unbroken stand of 138 for the eighth wicket with Andrew Hall, who made 56. It is the highest partnership for the eighth wicket in ODIs, beating the previous record of 119 runs that Shane Warne and Paul Reiffel put on for Australia against South Africa in Port Elizabeth in 1993-94.
