Former Test cricket umpire Judah Reuben died in Mumbai on Monday. He was 84. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.

Reuben was admitted to a Mumbai hospital after he had a fall at his residence a few days ago but had been discharged and was at his Mumbai home when he died, sources close to him said.

Reuben had made his international debut by officiating in the 1969-70 Test series between Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi-led India and Bill Lawry's visiting Australian team at Kolkata.

Reuben, who worked as a fingerprint expert in the fingerprint branch of the Criminal Investigation Department in Mumbai, officiated in 10 official and two unofficial Tests. He had later shifted to Pune.
