Heavy rain interrupted the final of the ICC Champions Trophy between Australia and the West Indies at the Brabourne stadium, in Mumbai, on Sunday.

Australia were 45 for 2 in 10 overs after bowling out the West Indies for a lowly 138 in 30.4 overs before rain intervened.

There was a light drizzle around 1842 IST, which gradually picked up, and by 1915 IST the rain was very heavy.

The covers were drenched and the outfield soggy. It is highly unlikely that the match will resume this evening.

The scheduled close of play is 2245 IST, and if 20 overs of Australia's innings can't be completed today then the match will resume from where it was suspended.

As per the rules of the tournament, every match is allocated a reserve day and the match will be continued on Monday.
