Pakistan elect to bat in 2nd ODI

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat in the second one-day international against India at the Rawalpindi stadium in Rawalpindi, on Saturday.

Pakistan are without fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar who is nursing an ankle injury.

He also missed the first match in Peshawar won by Pakistan by seven runs under the Duckworth Lewis scoring method.

India made one change to their line-up, bringing in all-rounder Suresh Raina in place of left-arm spinner Murali Kartik.

They also named all-rounder Ramesh Powar, who has arrived as cover for injured spinner Harbhajan Singh, as the super sub.

Pakistan named an unchanged side.

Pakistan: Inzamam-ul-Haq (captain), Salman Butt, Kamran Akmal, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik, Rana Naved, Mohammad Asif, Umar Gul, Super sub: Arshad Khan.

India: Rahul Dravid (captain), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, M S Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif, Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan, S Sreesanth, Suresh Raina, Super sub: Ramesh Powar.

Umpires: Simon Taufel (Aust) and Asad Rauf (Pak), Match referee: Chris Broad (Eng)
