Warne added the prize scalp of Brian Lara (left) in his next over, beating the West Indian twice outside off stump before catching an inside edge off his final delivery which wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist gathered after juggling at his first attempt.
Dravid and Lara made a bright start, adding 31 in the first hour, but the introduction of Warne quickly turned things Australia's way on a Sydney Cricket Ground pitch with a long tradition of suiting spin bowling.
