ICC Awards 2005

The International Cricket Council awards ceremony, to honour the best players in the world, was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney, on Tuesday.

The trophies for the ICC Awards 2005 have been designed by Sanjay Sharma, Country Manager-Swarovski Crystal Components Business.

The trophies feature a crystal cricket ball studded with over 4200 Swarovski crystal chantons, resting on a hand extended from an aluminum base. The crystals symbolise the enchanting and captivating nature of cricket, while the hand represents the design concept "breaking through" of existing standards in the ultimate pursuit of excellence.

Three colours are used for the crystal cricket balls to differentiate the award winners. They are all 30 centimetres high and 11 centimetres wide.
