With the seven-match One-Day International series already in Team India's pocket, the likes of Gautam Gambhir and R P Singh would get a chance to play in the remaining matches of the Lanka series.
Addressing a match-eve press conference after net practice at the Motera stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday evening, coach Greg Chappell said there would be changes in the team, while refusing to spell out the details.
''You cannot play with just 12 players all the time. Others would also get a chance to play now so that if a player gets injured or is out of form, the new player would be able to move in smoothly in his place.
Chappell also said that no decision has been taken so far on whether to rest Sachin Tendulkar or not for Sunday's match.
He also did not read too much into Yuvraj's form, saying that the latter had a good tour of Zimbabwe and should be back to form soon.

The former Australian captain was also not much worried of the lack of genuine all-rounders, saying that batsmen like Sehwag, Sachin and Yuvraj can also bowl.
Meanwhile, vice captain Virender Sehwag, who addressed the press conference in place of skipper Rahul Dravid said he would apply his Test batting skills to play some big innings in the series.
He said he was getting out early probably in trying to be more positive and score of every opportunity. ''I am not batting badly and the ball is striking the bat sweetly, it is just a question of one big innings,'' the vice captain said.
