Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul Haq won the toss and elected to bat against Board President's XI in the three-day tour opening match at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on Thursday.

Play was stopped in the three-day tour match due to rains.

Taufeeq Umar was batting on four while Salman Butt was on one when rains intervened with just 2.4 overs being bowled after Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul Haq had won the toss and elected to bat.

Earlier, the start of the match, scheduled for 0930 IST, was delayed by 50 minutes due to bad light and a heavy cloud cover made things appear bleak.

But despite the poor weather, people turned out in large numbers to witness the match. There was huge support for the Pakistanis with a straight driven four by Umar receiving thunderous applause from the crowd.
