West Indies captain Shivnarine Chanderpaul believes his young team can do well in the triangular one-day series despite their 2-0 Test series defeat by Sri Lanka.
West Indies, missing 10 leading players due to a sponsorship and contracts dispute, lost the second Test by a massive 240 runs but Chanderpaul refused to be downbeat.

"We have some young guys but we have been doing a lot of hard work and they are learning -- it will take some time but they will come around eventually.
"Our fielding and catching was very good and our bowling in patches, like at the start of this Test match, showed some fight."
Chanderpaul believes the players will fare better in one-day matches.
"It is a shorter version of the game and our guys are accustomed to playing one-day cricket so it should be better for us," he said.
"We just want to come out and play some positive cricket and we will see how it goes."
Sri Lanka's captain Marvan Atapattu praised West Indies' spirit in face of the off-field troubles that have created such bitterness at home.
"They kept us guessing and gave us a bit of thinking to do in the dressing room, which we enjoyed and in the end made it more pleasing to overcome them," Atapattu told reporters.
"They threw themselves around in the field and were more athletic than the senior side they normally have.
"They are enthusiastic, but in one-day cricket you need a bit of experience and that will be their concern going into the one-day series."
The tri-series, also involving India, starts later this week.
