Harbhajan Singh was at his devastating best picking up seven wickets for only 62 as Sri Lanka crumbled for 206 on the third day of Ahmedabad Test.
This was the sixth instance of Harbhajan capturing seven (or more) wickets in an innings. With this he equalled Anil Kumble's Indian record of most seven-wicket hauls.
Interestingly Harbhajan has done so in only 50 Tests as against Kumble's 100.
The following table lists the Indian bowlers with most number of seven-wicket hauls:
Bowler | 7-wkt hauls | Tests |
Anil Kumble | 6 | 100 |
Harbhajan Singh | 6 | 50 |
Kapil Dev | 5 | 131 |

Vinoo Mankad | 2 | 44 |
Bhagwat Chandrasekhar | 2 | 58 |
