Skipper Rahul Dravid and Mohammed Kaif have been declared fit for the second Test against Sri Lanka while Team India think-tank will wait till Saturday morning before deciding on another ailing cricketer Virender Sehwag.

"Both Dravid and Kaif have been declared fit for the second Test match starting tomorrow. On Virender Sehwag, a final decision will be taken tomorrow,'' media manager M Baladitya said in New Delhi on Friday evening.

Sehwag was admitted in the Sri Ganga Ram hospital on Thursday with body ache and throat infection.

Later, Dr S P Byotra, Senior Consultant in the Medicine Department of the hospital said Sehwag's chances of playing in the match are "quite remote" and though the player is ready to be discharged, he has been advised to take four-five days rest.

Talking to UNI, a hospital spokesman added, "His chances of playing in the match starting tomorrow are quite remote, according to the doctors. They found him too weak to play. His condition, however, has improved and he is much better today.

"Sehwag was under a 48-hour observation till tomorrow but his condition has become better and we have informed his family that he can be discharged. The doctors, however, have advised him not to play the match and be on medication for the next four-five days," he said.

"Though he is better now, the weakness is there. But there is no need to keep him here and Sehwag will go home tonight or tomorrow, it depends on his family," he added.

Meanwhile, Team India skipper Rahul Dravid was down with mild fever which forced him to skip the practice while Mohammed Kaif returned to team hotel with stomach ache.

Kaif reportedly developed cramps in the stomach last night and could not sleep properly. He had a 30-minute net practice on Friday before he sought Chappell's permission and returned to the team hotel.
