Flintoff, who scored a century in the first innings and took 3 wickets in the match, was named the man of the match.
England have outplayed and out-thought Australia in emphatic fashion for most of the Ashes series, according to their coach Duncan Fletcher.
"We have shown we can compete with the best in the world, Australia, and outplay them," Fletcher said.
