New Zealand vs India, 2nd ODI
Match report | Scorecard
With his next ball Bond yorked substitute batsman Venugopal Rao, who replaced Ashish Nehra.
Rahul Dravid successfully dug out the yorker Bond sent down to try and claim a hat-trick, but in his next over the bowler bowled India's most reliable batsman off an inside edge for five.
Bond struck two more crucial blows in his first spell of five for 14, when he had a slashing Mohammad Kaif caught by McMillan at third man for nine and the dangerous Virender Sehwag brilliantly caught by a diving Hamish Marshall at point for 15.
That left India reeling on 39 for 6.
