West Indies captain Shivnaraine Chanderpual won the toss and elected to bat in the tri-series one-day international match against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Saturday.
Sri Lanka are already through to the final where they will meet either India or West Indies who face off in the last league match on Sunday.
Captain Marvan Atapattu chose to rest and Mahela Jayawardene will lead the side.
The final of the tournament will be played next Tuesday.
