Wicketkeeper Geraint Jones (38 off 43 balls) made his highest score, bettering his 35 (off 45 balls) on debut against West Indies at Trent Bridge on 27-06-2004.
Tinashe Panyangara, whose first over consisted of 13 balls, achieved the dubious distinction of conceding most runs in a match for Zimbabwe as he went for 86 runs in his 10 overs. Heath Streak (v South Africa at Bulawayo on 23-09-2001) and Mluleki Nkala (v Pakistan at Harare on 27-11-2002) had conceded 80 runs in their 10 overs.

Tatenda Taibu became the fourth Zimbabwean to be dismissed 'hit-wicket' when he whirled round trying to hit Giles for a six. The other Zimbabwean batsmen to get out in this fashion are Alistair Campbell (v Australia at Perth on 02-12-1994), Guy Whittall (v New Zealand at Harare on 27-09-2000) and Craig Wishart (v West Indies at Harare on 26-11-2003).
Taibu also became the third batsman to be dismissed 'hit-wicket' against England after Canada's Franklyn Dennis (at Old Trafford on 14-06-1979) and Sri Lankan Roy Dias (at Colombo SSC on 14-02-1982).
The 152-run victory is England's biggest over Zimbabwe in terms of runs improving upon their 108-run win at Colombo RPS in the ICC Champions Trophy on 18-09-2002.
Zimbabwe suffered their third biggest defeat in terms of runs after the 191-run defeat imposed by Sri Lanka at Harare on 06-11-1994 and 153-run defeat against South Africa at Bulawayo QSC on 23-09-2001.
Collingwood won his fifth Man of the Match award in his 56th match.
