Ashish Nehra has been ruled out the ongoing One-Day International series against Pakistan after injuring the webbing in his left hand.

Nehra sustained the injury while fielding during the second ODI, which Pakistan won by 12 runs, at Rawalpindi.

The left arm fast bowler claimed three wickets for 44 runs in ten overs in the match.

Indian team media manager Amrit Mathur told reporters that Nehra's injury would keep him out of action for around two weeks.

In the post-match conference, Sourav Ganguly said while Nehra is out of the ODI series, he could be considered for the Tests if he recovers.

Meanwhile, the team management will ask for a replacement.

Amit Bhandari is likely to take Nehra's place.

The national selectors will decide on Wednesday.
