The Indian vice-captain led the batting effort after the openers had departed with a steady innings of 99 off just 104 balls.

His knock helped India post a mammoth total of 349 for 7 in their 50 overs. This is their highest score against Pakistan in ODIs, surpassing the winning effort of 316-7 in an encounter in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
