India batsman Vangipurappu Venkata Sai Laxman says he is yet to peak despite hitting three centuries in the past week in the VB tri-series in Australia.
"I can do much better than this," Laxman told a news conference after hitting a career-best 131 in India's three-run win over Zimbabwe at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
"I've done that in domestic cricket back in India and I don't see any reason why I can't improve on the performances here."
India and Australia, both on 23 points, have already qualified for best-of-three finals of the triangular series, which start on February 6. Zimbabwe have only two points from five matches.
Laxman, 29, who also scored two hundreds in the drawn four-Test series against Australia which ended on January 6, said it was important his personal success was matched by the team.
"Absolutely, because at that time (in India) when I scored nine hundreds I was batting well and doing well for the team, so it reminds me of that," Laxman said.
"I'm really pleased that it's happening now in international cricket as well."
Laxman's 131 from 138 balls was his fifth century in 64 one-day internationals.
The tall, wristy strokeplayer, who also took two diving catches against Zimbabwe, made 103 not out against Australia last Sunday at Brisbane and also hit an unbeaten 106 against the world champions at Sydney on Thursday.
Australia captain Ricky Ponting admitted this week his side would need to reassess their bowling tactics against Laxman because nothing seemed to be working.
Four of Laxman's five one-day international centuries have been against Australia.
