Youngest to lead
In the wake of the face-off between the ZCU and the 15 rebel players, wicket-keeper Tatenda Taibu was appointed Zimbabwe's captain against Sri Lanka.
Taibu became the youngest captain in Test cricket history when he led Zimbabwe in the first Test against Sri Lanka at Harare on May 6.
Taibu, at 20 years, 358 days, eclipsed Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi's 1962 record.
'Tiger' Pataudi was 21 years, 77 days old when he was asked to captain the touring Indian side in the West Indies after skipper Nari Contractor was felled by a Charlie Griffith bouncer.
Taibu notched another world record against his name in the second Test in Bulawayo when he did not concede a single bye in Sri Lanka's total of 713 for 3 declared. It is the highest total in Tests without a single bye.
Zimbabwe lost the Test series 0-2.
