The 31-year-old hit a career-best 270 as India were bowled out for 600, a huge 376-run first innings lead over Pakistan.

His 270 is the third highest score by an Indian, behind Virender Sehwag's 309, scored in the first Test of the ongoing series in Multan, and V V S Laxman's 281 against Australia in Kolkata in 2001.
