Bangladesh have lodged a complaint with match referee Mike Procter against Pakistan captain Rashid Latif for claiming a controversial catch in the third Test.
Pakistan team manager Haroon Rasheed confirmed to Reuters that the Bangladesh manager Latif Khan had made the official complaint to Procter on Saturday.
Officials said after Pakistan's one-wicket victory that Procter had scheduled a hearing later on Saturday to consider the complaint.
Latif claimed a catch off Yasir's Ali's bowling in the Bangladesh second innings on Friday to dismiss Alok Kapali for 22.
Umpires Russell Tiffin and Asoka de Silva ruled the batsman out but television replays later appeared to show that Latif had not completed the motion of taking the catch and the ball popped out of his gloves when he fell to the ground.
Latif defended himself on Saturday, saying: "If I had been convinced that I had not taken a clean catch and that the ball popped out of my gloves before I completed the catch motion I would have called the batsman back.
"I dived, took the catch, rolled over and then just threw the ball to Inzamam (-ul-Haq)," he said. "The umpires found nothing wrong with the catch. The batsman also didn't notice anything wrong."
Latif could face a two- to three-match suspension if the match referee decides in favour of Bangladesh.
