The Indian team observes a moment's silence before the tri-series match against Australia on Sunday to mourn the death of former India skipper Colonel Hemu Adhikari, who passed away on Saturday following a brief illness.
The Indians also wore black armbands as a mark of respect.
Adhikari scored 8628 runs in first class cricket at an average of 42.00, with a highest score of 230 not out against Rajputana, in the early fifties. He also had 18 first class centuries to his credit.
