Hyderabad bowled out Gujarat for a paltry 151 to record a convincing 150-run victory on the final day of the Elite Group A Ranji Trophy match at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera on Monday.

Riding on some excellent bowling by the pace-spin duo of Vishnu Vardhan (4/44) and skipper Venkatapathy Raju (4/15), Hyderabad ended the host's challenge minutes before lunch to pocket four points.

Resuming at the overnight score of 75 for 3, the Gujarat middle order once again failed to rise to the occasion, falling prey to Raju's spin and Vardhan's pace at regular intervals.

However, it was Indershekar Reddy, who struck the double blow this morning by sending both overnight batsmen Niraj Patel and Kirat Damani to the pavilion.

With Raju removing Tejas Varsani and Timil Patel, Hyderabad came to sniffing distance of victory as Gujarat were panting at 121 for 6.

Raju achieved a personal milestone of crossing 350 wickets in first class cricket.

In the first innings, Hyderabad speedster N P Singh had rattled Gujarat's batsmen claiming six wickets in the bargain.
