First Leg: First Round
The Test and County Cricket Board -- which then ran the World Cup -- changed the format in 1983.
Second Leg: First Round
The return leg games began on June 15. India took on the West Indies at the Kennington Oval.
Semi-final: India versus England
England -- which had won five of six league games by enormous margins -- was, quite simply, blind-sided.
