Bracing for Blighty

"Special" is how Rahul Dravid described the England tour, recalling how he missed scoring a century on debut at Lord's in 1996. He fell five runs short of that landmark.

"The history of the game and the tradition involved in England make it different from other tours. The seniors are all looking forward to it while the young guys are also very keen," Dravid said. "We have some exciting talent in (Virender) Sehwag, (Mohammad) Kaif and (Wasim) Jaffer while (Shiv Sunder) Das -- despite a poor tour in the West Indies -- remains a good player. There is good spirit in the team."
