Kaif, Mongia to stay back in England

Mohammad Kaif and Dinesh Mongia have been asked to stay back in England with the Indian Test team.

The national selectors, who met in Kolkata on Tuesday, however, said the duo would only play in the team's first class tour matches.

BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya said since it is necessary that every player stays match-fit in view of the ICC Champions Trophy in September, Kaif and Mongia have been asked to stay back in England.

Yuvraj Singh, however, will return to India following a finger injury which would keep him out of action for three weeks.

Kaif and Yuvraj were the heroes of the India's triumph over England in the final of the NatWest Tri-Series last Saturday.
