Kaif, Zaheer take top honours

Mohammad Kaif and Zaheer Khan took the top honours in the individual batting and bowling performances in the just-concluded NatWest Tri-Series, which India won on Saturday.

Kaif, who was the hero of India's victory over England in the final at Lord's, had the highest batting average of 87, while Zaheer was the top wicket-taker with 14 scalps.

Yuvraj Singh, who also had a fine tournament, aggregating 254 runs from seven innings, finished with a batting average of 50.80. He took five wickets, conceding 106 runs, for an average of 21.20.

For England, Alec Stewart and Marcus Trescothick were the top batsmen while Andrew Flintoff and Ronnie Irani did well among the bowlers.

Sri Lanka were the third team in the tournament.
