England's tour of India was expected to be the proverbial David-Goliath story -- a crushing victory over the inexperienced English side, blazing centuries from Tendulkar & Co and the tweakers ruling the dust bowls of India. But the Test series turned on its head, with the Poms fighting back in the second and third Tests. While the Indian spinners did have a good series, it was the young English side, spearheaded by the innovative, and, at times, controversial captaincy of Nasser Hussain, that impressed.
