The Indian cricket team is in Sri Lanka and will play a one-day series involving the hosts and New Zealand and also a three-Test series against the hosts. While the Tests will be played at Galle, Kandy and Colombo, the ten match one-day series will be played only at two venues -- the Premadasa stadium and the Sinhalese sports ground.
Over the years, since Sri Lanka hosted India for the first time in 1985, 73 matches have been staged at both the abovementioned venues, situated in Colombo. Mohandas Menon provides some statistical information on those matches.
