'Truth is that my father has been framed'11 June, 2001: Bollywood financer Bharat Shah's son Rashesh Shah appeared on the chat to talk the facts surounding his fathers arrest and tried to answer as candidly as he could about their side of the story.

The Commissioner Tyagi after killing innocent people doesn't even get served with an FIR after 7 years. Let the highest level of the court say he is guilty he will serve the senetnce but before that how can we say he is guilty? priti : do u think your brothers arrest is connected to your father?as it looks to me that he was not there atf&i Mr Rashesh Shah : My brother Rajiv, He wasn't there when the fight broke out at Fire and Ice, the poice made a mistake, and they dropped the charges in court. It was one grace shown to us in five months from the law and order department of the country. mana : after reading the details of the case in the media i feel mocca does not apply in your fathers case what is your opinion Mr Rashesh Shah : Yeah it does not apply, it is for gangsters, terrorists, criminals, extortionists, not for businessmen Girish : Do you fully deny the mafia involvement in film making Mr Rashesh Shah : No I don't. But Bharat Shah's arrest cannot be the solution to it. By arresting a innocent person you are warning the others and giving them protection as witness. mana : is it true that kapil sibal has taken his case what is his opinion on him getting bail Mr Rashesh Shah : He fails to understand how this law exists and he will take this court through the Supreme Court. Jai : Mr.Rasesh i find it difficult to believe that your father is being held as an undertrial since 5 months....rumors abound your father is afraid of coming out of jail and hence his bail pleas are just public eyewash Mr Rashesh Shah : What nonsense, the fact that he returned to the country after recieving 4 summons as a witness. He believed in the truth and wantedto end the drama, we were hearing rumours in the media about him being arrested for a long time and all that. Believe me we are desperately trying to get his bail and its not an eyewash. akash : if bharat shah is innocent why cant yr lawyers get him a bail .
