Flush from the success of Josh, Priya Gill was all smiles on the Rediff Chat. Though her exuberance couldn't hide the fact that she was hurt at being sidelined, and by the fact that her role was slashed in the film, she was nevertheless all praise for her co-stars, especially Shah Rukh Khan who was the recipient of a stinging slap... not once, but twice in the film! playing his sweetheart, so I am told everybody was wondering if it was tougher

Ila: When Apun bola starts, I had to slap SRK and I slapped him very lightly. But then, I was asked to make it look REAL, so I went on to give him such a whack that there was pin-drop silence on the set. But Shah Rukh was really cool :-) In fact, he was saying let's do one more for safety, that was
literally astonishing. My romancing him sets a new trend in dating -- we go out
on a date and, in the end, he gets a dish of the most sticky, oily noodles on his
head and that also had to be done two, three times. *grin*

aanchal : My REAL name IS Priya Gill *surprise* I enjoyed
working with Shah Rukh, BUT the role did not turn out as promised. Not that I
have any regrets because lots of you guys have told me that you liked me anyhow. But one definitely looks forward to a better etching out of the character and the
promised part.

Shreya: I like your observation. But you must have noticed I'm
not from the film industry, in the sense of family. So whatever I have achieved
today is all my own hard work, my family's and God's blessings and the
encouragement of my fans. It may seem simple but, believe me, it's really tough
making a niche for yourself out here. Many a times you get taken for a ride. Also,
I don't have a Godfather to guide me or push me on. But, then, you know, they say
it's the tortoise who wins finally. So I hope for the best.

snobby. However, I felt that your role in Josh was too short. After years of
hearing about your role in Josh, I was disappointed to see your short role.

Shahid: I can truly understand what you mean. I feel the same way. It's really sad when promises are broken, but I hope such things won't be repeated in the future. After all, man lives on hope. I too had really looked forward to Josh. I guess the silver lining is perhaps that all of you have, despite my short role, appreciated my performance and I have recieved really sweet and encouraging fan mail. I thank God for all the love and support I have got inspite of everything. It brings me back with a stronger resolve. So just wait
and watch and have faith. I'll do my best and leave the rest to Him.

with Priyan and Mammooka and Suresh Balaji. Come to think of it, I was the only
small fish there, what with everyone being a National award winner. And, boy,
Malayalam is tough. Would you believe it, my first song in the film where I show
Mammooka my village, I still have it in my head. Tumbayam tulsiyam kodumulam
poovam turigaya veriyana malanada velayam pooravam malanada... etc... But I
am really touched you liked my performance. I'm doing this film with Priyan in
Hindi which will go on the floors sometime towards the end of the year. I hope
you like that too.

thought that me from the audience would one day be alongside him. But, somehow, I have never been in awe of anyone.
