When Hitesh Harisinghani and Jahnavi Patel hit the streets of Mumbai after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonitisation announcement on Tuesday night, here's what they found.
Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes would beccome illegal tender from Tuesday midnight, people stormed into nearby ATMs in Mumbai to withdraw whatever money they could.
Some people applauded the prime minister’s decision while others thought they deserved a little time before such a drastic move was enforced.
"It will be difficult for me to buy my raw material tomorrow in the morning as people won't accept Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes anymore," said a dejected bhel puri vendor, Kamlesh Yadav.
