Which are India's best cities to live in?
Indian cities do not fare well compared to their global peers in the list of world's best cities.
Among the Indian cities that figure in Mercer's latest worldwide survey of cities, Bangalore has emerged as the best city to live in India, pipping other metro cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, in terms of overall quality of living.
No Indian city could manage to find a place in the global list of 100 cities.

Global rank: 139
Amongst Indian cities, Bangalore bags the first place among Indian cities in overall quality of living, according to Mercer's 2012 Quality of Living Index.
"Bangalore's rise in its quality of living ranking can be attributed to positive ratings for international schools which are suitable for expatriates," the report said.
Bangalore ranks 170 in city infrastructure in global rankings.
